Great Post. I recently saw an "E60" profile in Dwayne Wade where he recounted that he practiced basketball between 35-40 hours a week while attending school. This time, coupled with the fact that his mother was a drug addict, basically eliminated his childhood. The care-free, innocent lives that many of us enjoy from birth through college is non-existent for these athletes. Their incredible salaries allows them the luxury to enjoy their post-sport lives in a manner similar to our childhoods.

If you want to make this much money, it takes sacrifice and dedication. If you don't believe me go to Robbins, Illinois, D-Wades hometown (oh and don't wear blue or red) and see for yourself.

What's this "and occasionally hockey" business? Other than that, I think you have an argument here, besides the whole hockey comment.
